Professional Development
Each year, more than 1,200 teachers and administrators take advantage of professional development programs and courses at the Merrimack Education Center (MEC). Programs help educators broaden and deepen their understanding of critical subject areas and apply this learning in their school districts. Whether honing skills in a highly specialized special education area, studying and preparing for licensure for an administrative position or undertaking graduate study in a subject of interest, educators find MEC to be an ideal resource for improving and enhancing professional abilities and career opportunities.
Programs and courses are conducted at state-of-the-art resource centers in Billerica, Topsfield (Northeast Consortium), and surrounding areas, and are scheduled at times that are convenient for working professionals.
