These monthly meetings will be facilitated and allow interaction for job alike colleagues on a variety of topics. Our plan is to spend the first hour focused on an agreed-upon topic and the second hour devoted to open discussion for problem-solving, networking, sharing, etc.
Tentative topics for the 2007-2008 school year include the following:
- High school—providing support for administrators as instructional leaders
- Follow-up to the EDC Institute and Math Perspectives course
- Intended vs. taught curriculum
- Leadership role of the assistant superintendent/curriculum director: impacting what is taught in the classroom
- Assessment/data collection beyond MCAS
- Adaptive leadership model
- Essential schools
