"Cracker Barrels" for Assistant Superintendents and Directors of Instruction/Curriculum

These monthly meetings will be facilitated and allow interaction for job alike colleagues on a variety of topics. Our plan is to spend the first hour focused on an agreed-upon topic and the second hour devoted to open discussion for problem-solving, networking, sharing, etc.

Tentative topics for the 2007-2008 school year include the following:

  • High school—providing support for administrators as instructional leaders
  • Follow-up to the EDC Institute and Math Perspectives course
  • Intended vs. taught curriculum
  • Leadership role of the assistant superintendent/curriculum director: impacting what is taught in the classroom
  • Assessment/data collection beyond MCAS
  • Adaptive leadership model
  • Essential schools

Participants:    10-15
Location:    40 Linnell Circle, Billerica
1st date: Thursday, September 27, 2007
Other dates to be determined at first session.
Time:    8:30 am to 10:30 am
Cost:    $600.00 for year
Continental breakfast will be served.

PDPs will be awarded.
