Based upon numerous requests, MEC is now offering monthly seminars for just school principals at all levels. In 2009-2010, we will cover various topics including:
- Special Education: Balancing Need and School Capacity & Managing Parents and Advocates
- Managing in a Fiscal Crisis: Limited Resources, Large Class Sizes, and Less Staff
- Creating a Positive School Climate
- Developing Effective Community Partnerships
- Leading with New Instructional Technology
- Program Evaluation and RTI
- Effective Hiring, Staff Supervision & Discipline Techniques
- Handling Difficult Personalities: Staff & Parents
- Professional Development: the Principal's Role
- Understanding and Effectively Utilizing Data
- Sharing of Documents
The principals will have the opportunity to exchange best practices with their colleagues and obtain useful resources on the topics.
A continental breakfast will be served. 20 PDPs will be awarded.
