What information is needed to begin using MECnet's web server?
To ensure that your webpage will function properly, here are the pertinent pieces of information you'll need:
- Q: Where can I find FTP and/or Account information for my web site?
A: For security purposes, an approved contact from your site can obtain this information by contacting MECnet HelpDesk.
- Q: Why can't I FTP to my FrontPage account?
A: Our FrontPage© server only supports using the web authoring software included with FrontPage©. This server does not support customers uploading via FTP.
- Q: Does MECnet provide FTP software?
A: ME Cnet does not provide or support FTP client software for uploading to our web servers. However, some examples include WSFTP™, CuteFTP™ or the integraded FTP client in Microsoft© Internet Explorer.
- Q: How much space do I get as part of my Wrap-Around Services?
A: MECnet offers 100MB of Web Space per Internet connection.
